Eduard Fernández, María Rodríguez Soto, Miki Esparbé, Pol López, Nora Navas and Àlex Monner star in this series created by Jorge and Alberto Sánchez-Cabezudo (La Zona, Nos vemos en otra vida, Crematorio) and directed by Jorge Sánchez-Cabezudo, which will begin filming in August.

In addition, this 6-episode fiction is written by the creators themselves and screenwriters Pablo and Daniel Remón (winners of a Goya for Best Adapted Screenplay for ‘Intemperie’). Borja Soler (‘La Ruta’) completes the team, directing two of the six chapters.

Synopsis: The death of Cachou the bear in the Aran Valley triggers a criminal investigation never seen before for the death of an animal. The suspects are the inhabitants of the Valley, which becomes the stage where two worlds collide, the global and the ancestral, and where some good people do the impossible so that the mountain does not go up in flames.

Jorge and Alberto Sánchez Cabezudo: “The story of Cachou is above all an attractive and unusual detective story, where all the elements of the genre are turned upside down when the victim turns out to be an animal. An anomalous and even absurd situation, which everyone ends up taking very seriously and which, in some way, ends up marking their lives. It is this serious look at absurd situations, with unpredictable characters who are as excessive as they are real, that sets the tone of the narrative.”

“Matar a un oso” is a Movistar Plus+ Original series in collaboration with Kubik Films.
